Programs to Support Our Community.

TNR (Trap Neuter Return)

Napa has a very large feral cat population. Cats can multiply very fast and can have multiple litters every year. These litters can range from 2-8 kittens. Those kittens can go into heat as early as 5 months and the cycle starts again. We have fixed close to 250 feral cats in 2024.

We work with our community to teach people how to use traps, trouble shoot the cats that are to smart and work on getting the cats spayed or neutered. When barn homes or wineries want cats to help reduce the rodent population we work with them to relocate a pair of ferals to their property. Feral cats need to be kept in an enclosure for at least a month before releasing so they learn where their new home is and where food and water sources are located.

Fospice.

Our fospice program is one of our favorites. We pull dogs and cats from our local shelter that have been abandoned by their families in their final days/months of life. We place them in a foster home where they get all the love and care they deserves in these golden days. We give them supportive care to make sure they are comfortable.  Please consider opening up your home to one of these special pets.
